Resource Centre

Hours and support
The Resource Centre is located on the main floor of the Medjuck Building. Parts of the collection are available only on weekdays from 9:00 to 5:00. For assistance, see Anita Regan, Visual Resources Curator.

Collections
Maps, building plans, thesis reports, and resource material are listed in the Resource Centre database. Click on ImagesArchPlan or ResourcesArchPlan, then Guest Account and Login.

Maps
The map cases in the Resource Centre have topographic, soil, and geology maps of the local area at various scales. You may browse or ask for assistance. 1:1000 maps of Halifax and Dartmouth are scanned and available from Anita's Public Folder on the Faculty network. Instructions for access are posted in a pocket on the lid of the big map case.

Aerial photographs
On the reference shelf is a blue binder with local aerial photos in two formats: prints and a CD with 600-dpi scans. An online index to aerial photographs of Nova Scotia is available from Service Nova Scotia. Click on Data Locator.
