The woodworking shop is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Some time slots are reserved for students in courses. The shop is also open Monday to Thursday from 3:00 to 11:00 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. No additional hours will be scheduled. The construction lab (Room HA26) is open to students for modelmaking at all times.
Dale Arsenault is the shop supervisor. If you have a question or encounter a problem, check with him. To be eligible to use the woodworking shop, students, staff, and faculty must complete an introduction from Dale on the use of the equipment. If you do not know the proper procedure for using a hand tool or power tool, check with Dale first. Advanced instruction in woodworking may be available to small groups of interested students. During evening and weekend hours a shop assistant is present at all times for advice and supervision.
